NEW STORE OPEN!!!! Just for prints!

I finally decided to change things up a bit. Since I have my jewelry line and my digital prints in one store I decided to break them out! I will now have a store just for my digital prints. The new store is called Urban Nostalgia Prints on Etsy.
                                                                Butterfly Dreaming
I like to make these assemblages usually before bedtime. It is my way of relaxing, and creating is just what I do. There will be quite a few new prints added in the coming weeks.
                                                                Samantha's Play Room
I thought I would give you a few examples of what I have been creating. I'd love to know what you think! Comments encouraged!

                                                                    Glamour
This one to me is striking because it incorporates old and new. The woman is from the 1900's and the background has a very hip modern feel to it. Plus I really love lots of bold color.
                                                              The Looking Glass
I absolutely love to do fantasy work. I am enamoured with things that sparkle. This assemblage came together very quickly once I found the right Victorian woman in a sitting position. I love the green tones and just the magic that the image seems to portray.

Ringing In The New Year

I know it's cliche', but I have been making new rings! I have truly been ringing in the new year! Here are a few pictures from my Etsy Store
                                              Faux Typewriter Key Adjustable Ring
The Faux typewriter key rings are so fun! Very affordably priced too. I have a limited amount of these rings please check my store for availability of initials.
Our Lady Of Guadalupe Adjustable Ring
Another religious medal ring. I bought a lot of these medals and many of them are one of a kind. This ring features Mexico's most famous cultural image, and called The Patroness of the Americas.

Green, Amber, & Purple Sparkly Ring
One of my favorite kinds of rings to make are the wire wrapped kind. This features 7 Swarovsky crystals for extra sparkle and shine because it's all about the bling!

                                                  Green Rainbow Chandelier Crystal Ring
I added more Chandelier crystals rings in some new colors! Green Rainbow, Pink, and Aqua. These provide lots of sparkle and are simple and elegant!

                                                           Pink Chandelier Crystal Ring

                                                          Aqua Chandelier Crystal Ring
Hope everyone is having a great start to their New Year! How did you "ring" in the new year?

Stylish Blogger Award!!

What a way to start the new year off right! My friend Amanda Nicole from Amanda's Blog A Writer's Journey To Being published has passed on the "Stylish Blogger Award" to my blog! How exciting!
I have to say a few words about Amanda. She has been a great inspiration to me and a wonderful friend. Although we have never met in person, I think she's great! Always inspiring, and always encouraging me to keep blogging. When I have felt that no one was reading me, there was always a comment from her. So what are you waiting for? Check out her blog, or better yet become a follower and read some of her writings! I tip my hat to Amanda Nicole and say a heartfelt THANK YOU!

One of the things I must do to accept this award is share 7 things about me. So here goes....

1. I am an only child.

2. I come from a family of artists that go back to the 1800's. My mom has artwork from the 1800's from our family members. My mom too, is also an artist and I grew up watching my mom paint.

3. I have no formal training in art. I am a self taught artist. LOL I am one of those people who just one day decide things like, I think I will become a jewelry designer.

4. I LOVE to make soap and bath and body products! I am going to open another store soon for that!

5. I HATE vegetables, nothing green for me! Lettuce tastes like grass to me and leaves behind "lettuce residue" People have given me food that has had lettuce on it and I can always tell!

6.  I am also a huge fan of theatre and have been in many plays and love to sing. I have even taken voice lessons.

7. The first trip I took on a plane was to visit my pen pal in Papua, New Guinea. I flew half way around the world by myself!  That was over 20 years ago and I am still in touch with my pen pal and the friends I made there.

Wow! Now you know more than most people do about me! I am going to pass this award along to a few of my friends. So please visit them!
